Pink Floyd wrote the song for their second album, but it never made the cut and was subsequently never released or broadcast.
The short track is about two minutes long and resembles the band’s earlier singles like “See Emily Play” and “Bike” in terms of the meter and the staccato-like lyrical delivery.
The Early Years 1965-1972 drops November 11 and comes with an impressive 27 CDs that feature 130 tracks. Listen to “Vegetable Man” here, but make sure you fast forward to the 51:00 mark.
