Roger Waters pulled a rare song out of the vaults last night (September 28) when he performed “Fearless” for the first time since 1971.

Fans in Mexico City, where he is currently playing three shows before heading to Desert Festival in Indio, California, got the opportunity to hear the song live along with “One of These Days,” both off Pink Floyd’s 1971 album Meddle. All in all, Waters did an impressive 26-song set (via CoS).

As for “Fearless,” Waters took the opportunity to make a strong political statement about the Black Lives Matter movement while he played. A projector displayed pictures of protestors behind the stage, including one image of a sign that read, “I cannot believe I still have to protest this s—.”

If Waters’ rare live treats in Mexico City are any indication, Pink Floyd fans will surely be in for one heck of a show when they attend Desert Trip, which begins next weekend. Roger Waters, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young and The Who will all perform over two weekends.
