Pink Floyd fans are still hungry for news regarding the legendary British band; this was evident last week when guitarist/singer David Gilmour began trending on social media for saying that the band is finished. It’s something that he’s been saying for years, but somehow became a news item when he mentioned it in an interview promoting his next solo album (Rattle That Lock, due out September 18, by the way).

But here’s a bit of news about another former member of the band, Roger Waters. Waters is apparently working on a new album, planning a world tour, and working on his memoirs. All three of those bombshells were sort of casually mentioned in an interview with Israeli newspaper Haaretz.
“We sat in the studio until 2 A.M., listening to his new songs. His desk in the studio is piled with papers – new songs with lots of notes and revisions,” the writer, Gideon Levy, notes.

Elsewhere, he writes, “He’s in the process of writing an autobiography… and plans to go on another world tour next year. He’s a busy and active man.”
To be fair, the interview focused more on Waters’ comments about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, which even Floyd fans would (or should) allow is a bit more important than Waters’ next projects.
The lengthy interview is well worth your time: check it out at Haaretz.
